Laura Gold Becker has been practicing law in Connecticut since earning her Juris Doctor degree from Boston  University School of Law in 1986. Ms. Becker graduated with distinction from Cornell University in 1982, earning her Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies.

In addition to concentrating her practice in the areas of  bankruptcy and creditors' rights, commercial collections and  foreclosures; commercial construction; commercial litigation, and mediation, Ms. Becker currently serves as a foreclosure Committee on behalf of the Hartford Superior Court, and is a panel arbitrator/mediator for the American Dispute Resolution Center.

She is currently a volunteer at Dog Star Rescue, helping to place homeless dogs in their forever homes.  Ms. Becker is also currently President and a member of the Board of Directors of the North Central Area Agency on Aging, which provides for services to needy elderly and disabled persons and their caregivers.
